We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineerto join our Fuels & Energy East Team. Based in either Brisbane, Southbank and reporting to the Project Lead , this role is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of Tank Turnaround projects as well as the broader line of business as required.

About the Role

  • Establish & maintain strong, successful working relationships with our clients across all levels
  • Prepare and administer project budgets for the successful financial management of project cash flow requirements
  • Understand required project outcome for both UGL and our client in terms of safety, client outcomes, budget, and time
  • Understand and interpret contract documents
  • Select, procure, and manage subcontractors and subcontractor agreements, and manage progress and variation claims
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement in the delivery process
  • Ensure compliance with all UGL HSSE policies and procedures as well as any relevant legislative requirements

About You

  • Relevant Engineering Tertiary qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years project delivery experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical,  Power Generation industry, Waste Water or Water sectors.
  • Project portfolio delivery experience in a brownfields Oil & Gas multidisciplinary capacity preferable
  • Highly developed interpersonal, relationship management and conflict resolution skills, supporting your ability to effectively liaise, consult and influence a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels internally and externally
  • Methodical and demonstrated ability to work independently, with discretion, to organise and prioritise demands, and handle complex tasks simultaneously, within a fast-paced environment
