People & Culture Officer - Sydney

Term: This is a 12 month non-ongoing opportunity.
Are you ready to grow with a dynamic and forward-thinking team? We're on the lookout for a proactive and people-focused HR Professional who has some HR experience but is still early in their HR career and is looking for their next challenge. This is a co-role that blends HR service delivery (90%) with some office management responsibilities (10%), perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About The Role
As our People & Culture Officer you'll play a key role in supporting our people and culture initiatives while ensuring our office runs smoothly. You'll work in a small HR team, working closely with senior HR leaders and cross-functional teams to help build an inclusive, efficient, and engaging workplace.

What You'll Be Doing
HR Support

• Maintaining HR records and support compliance with policies and procedures
• Be the go-to person for employment related queries and support
• Being responsible for payroll, employment documentation, and our HR system (ELMO).
• Supporting onboarding and offboarding
• Completing HR reporting and data analysis
• Helping to organise training sessions, and wellbeing initiatives
• Supporting Work Health & Safety (WHS) compliance
• Supporting Performance management
• Represent the People & Culture function at our Sydney office

Office Management

• Oversee day-to-day office operations and supplies
• Liaise with vendors, building management, and service providers
• Support health & safety and office compliance
• Help create a welcoming and productive office environment

What We're Looking For

• 1- 2 years of experience in HR or a similar role
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A team player with a can-do attitude and attention to detail
• Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and working independently
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace is a plus
• A base level of knowledge of Australian employment legislation and WHS practices
