ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you a compassionate and experienced leader ready to make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and communities? We're looking for a dynamic Practice Lead to guide and inspire a multi-disciplinary team of dedicated Family and Relationship Professionals.

*Internally, this role is referred to as a Practice Lead within the organisation*

*Key Responsibilities:*

  • Inspire and Shape Clinical Practice: Provide clinical supervision, workforce development, staff engagement, and foster collaboration.
  • Effective Communication: Articulate Interrelate's purpose and strategy and engage in community consultations.
  • Leadership and Strategic Direction: Build strong working relationships and provide strategic direction.
  • Deliver Results: Oversee management, meeting clinical outcomes and KPIs, and adopt a client-centered approach to service delivery.
  • Support Reconciliation: Engage in community outreach, cultural awareness, cultural humility, and continuing education to support reconciliation between the First Nations Community and the Non-Indigenous community.

This role will be based in our Dubbo office, working 30hrs per week and working across 4 days supporting the Western region. Some travel will be required across multiple sites within the region, including Orange.

ABOUT YOU:

You possess a relevant degree in psychology, social work, counselling or related discipline. You have experience managing and supporting multiple teams across different locations, and possess strong clinical skills, team dynamics, negotiation and conflict management, interpersonal skills, and ethical standards.

You will bring a calm, approachable presence and the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and respect. Your strong clinical expertise, leadership across multi-disciplinary teams, and skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and ethical practice will make you a trusted guide for both clients and employees.

You'll mentor and empower your team, champion best practices, and drive service excellence across our vital programs. If you're passionate about leadership, community impact, and creating safe, supportive spaces for families, we'd love to hear from you.

Prior experience in working with children's contact services and families and children experiencing separation, family breakdown, and high levels of family conflict, will be highly regarded.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in counselling, social work, psychology or related discipline.
  2. Demonstrated professional experience in one or more of the following:

  3. dispute resolution work with families, including children, and significant familiarity with models of dispute resolution, child-inclusive practice and legally assisted family dispute resolution, along with accreditation as an FDRP with the Attorney General's Department; and/or,

  4. the provision of individual and/or relationship counselling to couples and families (3+ years preferred) and specific expertise in one or more clinical areas such as: counselling, relationship education, children's services, men's programs, or family law; and/or,
  5. early intervention, assessment, case management and therapeutic support to children and young people experiencing risk.

  6. Proven knowledge of child development, child protection, mandatory reporting, suicide prevention/ intervention, trauma, and family violence issues, and an in-depth knowledge of relevant sectors and Federal and State legislation

  7. Proven track record of clinical and line supervision and support to multidisciplinary teams working with families, children, and young people experiencing challenges, and a strong commitment to, and the ability to lead staff in working in the best interests of children.
  8. Highly developed interpersonal, leadership, coaching skills, conflict resolution, negotiation, and communication skills.
  9. Demonstrated experience in meeting performance indicators and organisational compliance requirements
  10. Demonstrated experience in staff recruitment and development; client-centred service design and delivery; program evaluation and reporting
  11. Experience in establishing community links and contacts for the purpose of developing and promoting strategic partnerships
