About the Club

The Queensland Sporting Club – or Bulimba Golf Club, as it's known - is a 9-hole, par 3 golf course located on the Brisbane River in inner East Brisbane, just 15 minutes from the Brisbane CBD.

Bulimba GC is a not-for-profit, community-based club with a significant golfing and non-golfing membership base. The Club takes pride in supporting the local community and hosts many golf and social events throughout the year.

The Club accommodates a wide variety of events and is the ideal venue for corporate golf days, social golf groups, weddings, Christmas parties and birthday celebrations.

The facilities include four versatile event spaces, including a fully air-conditioned Clubhouse (currently under refurbishment) with its own dedicated bar and restaurant. There is also a 90-metre practice range and putting green.

The Role

Key Attributes Required:

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive individual
  • High levels of computer literacy including Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, POS / EFTPOS systems and various golf software.
  • Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, early mornings, public and school holidays
  • A keen interest in golf, sport and recreation activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implementing the Club's golf competition calendar, events program and assisting with member & guest bookings
  • Management of the golf window including competition registration, scoring, and other related tasks
  • Processing transactions for green fees, rental equipment, and merchandise.
  • Preparation and completion of daily golf competition results, golflink upload & prize payouts
  • Preparation and maintenance of social golf booking timesheets maximising visitation and yield opportunities
  • Management of golf membership database and records
  • Actively contribute to the promotion of membership offering to meet membership targets
  • Promotion of green fee, play opportunities and bookings
  • Promotion and delivery of food and beverage offerings
  • Experience using online booking, member management and competition software
  • Operation of point of sale terminals
  • Assist with the day to day operations of the Golf Shop and practice facilities
  • Assist with the development of junior golf academy and tuition programs
  • Maintaining the Golf Shop and storage areas to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
  • Ensuring the golf shop and related areas are properly secured.
  • Tee time management
  • Take direction from the General Manager and Golf Captain on all matters relating to the golf operations
  • Workplace health and safety
