As our new Fire Protection Engineer, you'll be a vital part of the Building Fire Protection Services Team who are changing the way we design and deliver works to minimise carbon footprint and sustainable across all types of Civic, Defence, Commercial, and Retail projects. Your role will include;
  • Liaising of client, stakeholders, and relevant Local Authorities
  • Working closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to incorporate fire services solutions seamlessly into building designs.
  • Design of Fire Hydrant and Fire Hose Reel systems, sprinkler systems, fire detection and alarm system, and other special suppression systems and ensuring designs meet Australian fire codes, standards, and local authority requirements for safety and legal compliance
  • Report writing and creation of project Specification
  • Mentoring of peers

As well as experience in a similar fire protection engineering role. Specifically;
  • Proven experience designing and implementing Wet and Dry fire protection systems, including sprinklers, alarms, smoke control, and passive fire safety solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of NCC, Local Authority and Australian Standard requirements for fire protection services.
  • Team player who embraces the Aurecon diversity working culture.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, liaising with architects, engineers, and clients to integrate services solutions seamlessly.
  • Mid to Senior level of experience
  • Experienced with the latest digital industry software (Revit, BIM, Revizto, PDF)
  • RPEV and/or RPEQ accreditation
