Cambridge Technologies is looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our operations team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the efficient flow of electrical wire, cable, and connector products that support mission-critical applications across defence, aerospace, and motorsport industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming deliveries of electrical wire, cable, and components.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch and shipment.
  • Operate spooling equipment to reel wire from bulk drums to smaller custom lengths.
  • Conduct stock counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Support continuous improvement in warehouse workflows and layout efficiency.
  • Safely operate forklifts and handling equipment to load/unload trucks and pallets.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school certificate or equivalent required.
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical or cable products advantageous.
  • Physically fit – able to lift and move heavy items safely.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • Current forklift licence or willingness to obtain one is an advantage.
