Fulltime fixed term position for 12 months

Are you passionate about cutting-edge biomedical research and eager to contribute to discoveries that impact human health? The University's Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grant Funded Researcher to join our dynamic team.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Officer to join the Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery Clinical Epigenetics group, led by Professor Harshita Pant. This role is embedded within the Cytokine receptor laboratory at the Centre for Cancer Biology and plays a pivotal part in advancing our understanding of how tumour cells interact with their microenvironment in head and neck cancers .

You will contribute to high-impact research in tumour pathobiology, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders across Adelaide University and CALHN, as well as external collaborators and government portfolios.

To be successful you will need:

• An Honours degree in biology, cell and/or molecular biology, biochemistry or related discipline.
• Experience in/with cell culture with mouse and human cancer cells, gene and protein expression techniques and generation of engineered cell lines with modulation of protein expression.
• Experience with cells' and tissue imaging techniques and methods for image analyses
• Demonstrated competency in recording, analysing, presenting and disseminating research to stakeholders including the preparation of papers for high quality publications or posters for conference presentations.
• Experience in mouse models of cancer
• Knowledge of biosafety requirements and procedures and/or experience in the safe handling of potentially biological hazards, including but not limited to (human and animal) blood, plasma and tissues.
