Chiosco by Ormeggio is a vibrant Italian trattoria perched right on the water at The Spit. We're known for our fresh seafood, house-made pasta, relaxed atmosphere, and warm, genuine service.

We're looking for an experienced Section Waiter to join our friendly, fast-paced team. If you're passionate about hospitality and Italian cuisine, this is your chance to work in one of Sydney's most beautiful waterfront settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and resetting tables to venue standards
  • Confidently managing your own section and taking orders
  • Clearing and resetting plates efficiently during service
  • Providing thoughtful food and wine pairing recommendations
  • Delivering attentive, personable service and building rapport with guests
  • Supporting the team to ensure a smooth, enjoyable service

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a section waiter
  • Previous experience with Italian cuisine preferred
  • Strong food and wine knowledge with pairing confidence
  • Familiarity with 7Rooms reservation system (advantageous)
  • NSW RSA certificate (mandatory)
  • Full Australian working rights (no visa restrictions)
  • Ability to carry 3 plates
  • Energetic, bubbly personality and team player attitude
