Position Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Operator Maintainers for full-time employment on a 15-13 working roster with competitive remuneration plus allowances. The locality of this role welcomes the opportunity for FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) or DIDO (Drive-In Drive-Out) candidates.

Successful candidates must have experience working within gas processing, gas compression and wellfield facilities. Based at our clients' sites, within the Bowen Basin Central Queensland, your focus will be on the maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement of these facilities. You will work alongside and support the collaborative efforts of our combined operation and maintenance teams.

This role is perfect for self-motivated and skilled individuals who prefer diversity to monotony; value teamwork and comradery; and are seeking unique industry experience. Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Carry out routine preventative maintenance scopes on gas compression and power generation equipment by OEM's such as; Caterpillar, Waukesha, Ariel, Gemini and Superior.
• Respond to breakdowns and conduct diagnostic and troubleshooting work scopes to identify issues and return equipment to service safely and efficiently.
• Working across a variety of gas compression, gas processing and well field equipment.
• Assist and collaborate with major maintenance teams to support major repair and overhaul scopes of equipment.
• Ensuring optimal performance and reliability through routine inspections to ensure corrective action work plans can be developed and executed during planned outages to eliminate equipment down time.
• Maintaining comprehensive records of inspections, repairs and maintenance works completed.
• Ensuring work practices and the place of work are maintained, by evaluating associated risks and hazards of each task prior to the commencement to ensure safe working environment and the utilisation of correct equipment.
• Reporting all safety hazards, environmental hazards, incidents, damage, breakdowns and potential plant or equipment stoppages to a direct Supervisor or area Supervisor as soon as is practicable.

Essential Qualifications:

• Cert III Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent
• Current Gas Test Atmospheres
• Unrestricted C class drivers' licence, or higher
• White Card
• 3 years minimum experience in a similar role
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen

Desirable Qualifications:

• Current First Aid and CPR
• 4WD / Driving safety skills competency
• Type B - Repair and maintain stationary gas fuelled reciprocating engines
• Current High Risk Work Licence - LF, EWP, DG, Telehandler
• OEM Equipment Training / Certifications
