Yard Hand

Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping things moving, and values teamwork? Acu-Tech is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Hand to join our dynamic team

What You'll Be Doing:

• Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy and care with every delivery
• Assist customers with collections and conduct stock checks as needed
• Maintain company vehicles and mobile plant (trucks, utes, forklifts) to a high standard
• Perform pre-start inspections, report faults, and follow all safety protocols
• Assist with stock movement, laydown, and repurposing of materials
• Maintain a clean and organized yard through housekeeping and rubbish disposal
• Locate and prepare pipe and other materials upon request
• Ensure smooth handover of stock locations and activities between teams
• Communicate with the team to ensure smooth product flow within the yard

What We're Looking For:

• A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Experience in a similar role - handling ugly freight
• Forklift license
• HR License is a plus
• A commitment to safety and following procedures
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $33.13 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Maddington WA 6109: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Yard hand: 2 years (Required)
• Forklift: 2 years (Required)

Licence/Certification:

• Forklift Licence (Preferred)
• HR Licence (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

• Australia (Required)
