Yard Coordinator

We're on the lookout for a sharp, no-nonsense Yard Coordinator who's ready to take charge, keep things moving, and make sure our yard runs like a well-oiled machine.

If you are highly organised, experienced in a fast-paced environment, tackle issues head-on, and lead your team with purpose, this role is for you

Yard Coordinator – Own the Yard, Drive the Action

• Take charge of yard operations - coordinate truck movements, loading/unloading, delivery schedules, and keep everything running like clockwork.
• Stay sharp and in control – coordinate orders, stock levels, and maintain driver schedules while working closely with internal teams.
• Keep your finger on the pulse - track stock transfers, scrap movements, and smash out daily inventory checks.
• Maximise space, maintain order, and keep the yard spotless - because a tidy yard is a safe yard.
• Build solid relationships with crews, subcontractors, and customers - keep things flowing and safe.
• Step up when things get tough - solve problems fast, stay cool under pressure, and deliver every time.
• Lead by example – set the standard, train new team members and help build a tight-knit, high collaborating team.
• Bring 5+ years of hands-on yard or logistics coordination experience – heavy ugly or oversized freight is a requirement.
• Hold a Cert III in Logistics (or similar), a current driver's licence, and forklift ticket - you know your way around the gear.
• Be laser-focused, organised, and ready - juggling priorities without dropping the ball should be your strength.
• · Be a quick learner and ready to learn every day – you need to know the yard, the products and the customers inside & out.
• Safety is your top priority – building your team's trust, feeling of being safe and willingness to voice safety concerns is the first step in building team camaraderie.
