About the Role

Reporting to the National Insurance Repair Manager, this role is central to the effective financial management, compliance oversight, and performance analysis of insurance loss and claims portfolios across QLD, NSW, and WA.

You'll play a key role in delivering financial accuracy, operational insights, and compliance assurance to both internal stakeholders and clients. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting and client invoicing, developing data-driven performance reports, presenting insights to clients, and managing ongoing relationships with key partners.

You'll work closely with operational teams and leadership to ensure effective service delivery and continuous improvement in claims management processes across all regions. Your ability to analyze financial and claims data, ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory standards, and drive efficiencies will be critical in supporting business growth and maintaining strong client relationships.

Your key responsibilities include

  1. Data Analysis & Reporting: Create detailed technical reports and presentations based on claims activity, trends, and operational performance across QLD, NSW, and WA. Deliver insights on claims performance, identifying opportunities for improvements in service and claims management.
  2. Financial Management & Client Invoicing: Oversee and manage client invoicing processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting. Maintain visibility of financial performance across all insurance portfolios and contribute to forecasting and budgeting initiatives.
  3. Governance & Compliance: Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of governance frameworks, policies, and internal controls.
  4. Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, presenting analytical reports and findings, and offering tailored solutions to optimise claims management.
  5. Operational Oversight: Support day-to-day claims operations with data-driven insights, tracking and reviewing performance metrics to ensure operational excellence across multiple regions (QLD, NSW, WA).
  6. Claims Portfolio Management: Work with internal teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
  7. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders on claims trends, operational processes, and emerging issues. Support teams in navigating complex policy wordings and claims scenarios.
  8. Presentation & Stakeholder Management: Lead the preparation and delivery of technical presentations to clients and senior stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights.
  9. Compliance & Governance: Ensure all financial and operational practices align with client contracts, internal policies, and regulatory standards.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the claims management workflow, driving initiatives that enhance both efficiency and client satisfaction.

Skills and Experience

  1. A minimum of five years of experience in technical claims management or a similar role with a strong focus on reporting, data analysis, and client interaction, financial management.
  2. Advanced skills in data analysis, reporting tools, and presentation creation. Familiarity with analytical platforms and business intelligence tools is a plus.
  3. Proven track record in managing complex financial claims portfolios, ideally across multiple regions (QLD, NSW, and WA).
  4. Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and financial management frameworks.
  5. Strong client-facing skills with the ability to present complex technical data in a clear and actionable manner.
  6. A technical mindset with in depth understanding of policy wordings, claims management processes, and operational efficiency.
  7. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast paced environment.
