About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated House Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about leadership, quality care, and continuous improvement. You will work with and support the care of clients with high and complex needs, ensuring quality, safety, and person-centred support.
As the House Team Leader, you will:
- Supervise and support a team of Disability Support Workers.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred support in line with NDIS plans
- Oversee compliance, documentation, and service delivery
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and stakeholders
- Drive team performance and professional development
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise Disability Support Workers to ensure best practice care.
- Maintain compliance with NDIS standards and company policies.
- Conduct regular staff supervision, performance reviews, and training.
- Review and update client support plans to reflect their needs and goals.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, families, and external partners.
- Prepare reports on team performance, incidents, and client outcomes.
- Manage daily operations and respond to emergencies as required.
About You
You are an empathetic, organised, and proactive leader with a passion for supporting people with disabilities. You will bring a strong understanding of the NDIS and the ability to guide a team in delivering exceptional care.
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or related qualification
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within disability or healthcare services
- Strong understanding of NDIS frameworks and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, written, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs
- Commitment to empowering clients and supporting staff growth
Desirable:
- Lived experience or personal insight into supporting people with disabilities
