Your new role

As the Senior Projects Officer – Major Project Delivery, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale capital programs and projects, valued up to $226M. You will work within Council's Project Management Framework (PMF) to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will play a key role in the planning and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including aquatic and leisure centres and multi-storey community facilities, ensuring they meet community expectations and operational requirements.
  • Managing all phases of capital projects, including design, procurement, construction, and handover.
  • Providing advice on project delivery and contract management
  • Preparing and contributing to business cases and budgetary reports.
  • Supervising consultants and contractors to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Supporting the development of Council's ten-year capital works program.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, building, project management, business or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects within local government.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering aquatic and leisure centres and multi-storey community facilities.
  • Strong contract management and dispute resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and financial systems.
  • A current White Card and Victorian Driving Licence.
