About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality, Health & Safety Manager to lead all aspects of product quality, process compliance, and workplace health and safety across our IML production environment, based at our Box Hill plant (until February 2026, then Scoresby). This role ensures ISO and industry compliance, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Duties include

  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001, HACCP, BRC, GMP) and document control.
  • Oversee QC and QA processes, including incoming materials and supplier compliance.
  • Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and implement CAPA.
  • Conduct audits, support inspections, and liaise with regulators and certification bodies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety programs (ISO
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations; drive proactive safety culture.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, reporting CI metrics and identifying efficiency gains.
  • Train, coach, and support employees at all levels on quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Prepare and present quality and safety performance reports to management.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality and/or safety role in manufacturing (printing, plastics, packaging, or IML preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, BRC, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Proven experience with audits, CAPA, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methods (Six Sigma, 5S).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with machinery safety, chemical handling, and IML production is an advantage.
