About this Position:
Join us in delivering exceptional service at the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre (GSAC). We provide excellent service to our patrons and take pride in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
We are currently seeking a friendly, meticulous, and reliable individual to join our team as a Facilities Assistant.This is a permanent part-time position for 20 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as opportunities arise.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of our centre, ensuring it remains presentable, hygienic, and accessible to all patrons and stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess the availability to work early morning shifts, as well as ad hoc afternoon shifts.

What we trust you to deliver:
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Assists with facility set up and pack down with bookings and events.
- Ability to work effectively in a work environment, with due regard for quality, performance standards, public safety and environmental procedures.
- Provide support to the Maintenance Coordinator as required.
What you will need to be successful:
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current Class C Driver's License.
- Relevant industry experience would be highly regarded.

Conditions of Employment:
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Lismore City Council, Goonellabah Sports and Aquatics Centre and Lismore Memorial Baths Enterprise Agreement 2015 (EA) and relevant Council policies and procedures.
Pre-employment Screening: Prior to employment, there will be a series of pre-employment checks that may include, health assessments, validation of right to work in Australia, validation of qualifications and licences, criminal history checks, psychometric assessments and referee checks. Working with Children Check
In accordance with the requirement for 'Working with Children' anyone starting a new, paid job in child-related work must apply for the Working with Children Check (WWCC).
