About the Roles:
Join us in delivering exceptional service at the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre (GSAC). We provide excellent service to our patrons and take pride in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
We're looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team in a range of casual roles. Exciting opportunities are currently available for Cafe Staff and Creche Staff. The hourly rate for these roles is $33.21, plus superannuation. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional service and thrive in a dynamic, community-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Cafe Staff:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the Cafe area.
- Handle cash transactions and operate cafe equipment efficiently.
- Provide friendly and attentive service to all patrons.

What you'll need to be successful for the Cafe Staff role:
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check and National Criminal History Check.
- First Aid certificate/CPR Certificate (can be attained as part of training).
Food Handler Basics Certificate (can be attained as part of training).
Experience in café / hospitality with sound knowledge and experience as a barista and customer service would be highly regarded.
Creche Staff:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in the crèche.
- Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's experience.

What you'll need to be successful for the Creche Staff role:
- Available to work shifts from 4:00pm to 7:30pm, Monday through Wednesday, with flexibility to take on additional ad hoc shifts as needed.
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
- Current Class C Driver's License.
- First Aid certificate/CPR Certificate (can be attained as part of training).
- Certificate III in Childcare would be highly regarded.

Conditions of Employment:
Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Lismore City Council, Goonellabah Sports and Aquatics Centre and Lismore Memorial Baths Enterprise Agreement 2015 (EA) and relevant Council policies and procedures.
Pre-employment Screening: Prior to employment, there will be a series of pre-employment checks that may include, health assessments, validation of right to work in Australia, validation of qualifications and licences, criminal history checks, psychometric assessments and referee checks. Working with Children Check
In accordance with the requirement for 'Working with Children' anyone starting a new, paid job in child-related work must apply for the Working with Children Check (WWCC).
