A rare opportunity has opened for a senior procurement leader to step into a 
Group Manager, Strategic Procurement
 role within a large, complex organisation undergoing meaningful transformation. This six-month contract offers the chance to lead strategic sourcing, modernise procurement practices and influence senior stakeholders across a diverse operational environment.

In this role, you'll lead a high-performing team delivering complex, high-value sourcing across a broad range of indirect categories. You'll also drive procurement governance, refresh policy frameworks and ensure compliance across multiple business units and strategic programs, both domestic and international.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, including the CFO, and take on delegated responsibilities to support the delivery of procurement outcomes that are commercially sound, strategically aligned and measurable. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires sharp decision-making, strong risk awareness, and the ability to influence across a matrixed stakeholder environment.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience leading strategic procurement in large, complex organisations
  • Strong commercial acumen and governance expertise (e.g. modern slavery, Indigenous procurement, contract management)
  • A confident, capable leader who can influence executives and build trust across diverse teams
  • A resilient, solutions-focused mindset with a pragmatic approach to risk and change
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills
