About the Role
We are hiring for an enthusiastic Senior Business Analyst to conduct the end-to-end methodical investigation, analysis, reviews and documentation of business requirements to drive business improvement initiatives that underpin the implementation of IT projects.

Fixed Term Contract Until December 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analysis and manage support activities to solve complex problems in the execution of business improvements projects.
- Investigate and determine business requirements and processes in conjunction with key stakeholders, including undertaking root cause analysis, conducting process reviews and mapping current and future processes.
- Develop and implement business solutions to processes including updating of related IT management, practices, procedure and organisational change.
- Apply and monitor the use of modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards in determining stakeholder objectives and underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems.
- Collaborate with University and project stakeholders in determining project strategy assessments, requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
- Identify and validate functional, non-functional and transitional requirements with the business users as expressed in use cases and reports.
- Participate in the development of test strategies, test plans and test cases.
- Ensure all processes and systems adhere to regulatory, compliance standards and quality controls as well as complying with relevant EEO and WHS regulations.
- Perform any other duties as required and appropriate for this classification.
About You
- Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or a combination of relevant experience and training.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, BCS Business Analysis Practitioner or equivalent certification.
- PRINCE2 and ITILv3 certifications highly regarded.
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst working on multiple business improvement initiatives simultaneously
- Experience in business process mapping and business process frameworks and benchmarks such as AQPC.
- Proven experience with analysis and project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK.
- Experience in shared services implementation, and value stream and value network mapping, process and activity analysis will be highly regarded. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and facilitate effective conversations with staff and stakeholders. Extensive experience in developing and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels within an organisation.
