ACCOUNTANT

Full Time Role

Location: Banksmeadow, NSW

Industry: Industrial Rope Access / Construction

Specialist Height Access has been a trusted name in the Australian Industrial Rope Access industry since 1998. We are a well-established small-to-medium business with strong client relationships and a reputation for professionalism and safety. We're seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at our head office in Banksmeadow.

This full-time role blends strategic financial oversight with hands-on management of day-to-day finance and HR operations. You'll work closely with senior management and play a key role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll and reporting
  • Prepare and review client invoicing, progress claims and variations
  • Monitor cash flow, risk and compliance
  • Lead and support finance and admin staff
  • Liaise with external accountants and regulatory bodies
  • Use Xero for payroll and accounting functions
  • Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for efficiency

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in finance roles within small to medium businesses
  • Recognised accounting qualification (CPA/CA preferred)
  • Experience with payroll and HR processes
  • Experience in the construction sector is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of trade services operations
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Xero and advanced Excel skills
  • Friendly, approachable and a team player
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
