Salary $120,000 + Superannuation + Discounted Child Care Fees + Carpark

The position is a full-time permanent role.

We are a well established Not For Profit service located in the CBD near the central markets. Our service operates with a supportive Management Committee and staffing team. At the heart of our centre, connections and relationships with children, families, staff and the community are paramount and underpins the centre's philosophy.

We are seeking a director that has proven management experience and will be committed to the values of Community Childcare. Our centre is about to embark on a new journey and we are seeking a director that will lead this.

We are commencing the Flying Start Program in 2026 and the Retention Grant is established and implemented.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate leader to join a established community centre . As the Director/Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, supporting and guiding our team, providing a safe, nurturing, educational and inclusive environment for children and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strong leadership and management of the centre including day to day operations, family communications, staffing, enrolments, community connections and embedding the philosophy.
  • Build warm, trusting relationships with children, families, educators and local community.
  • Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
  • Implement Curriculum development and demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYLF.
  • Managing budget and centre finances
  • Fostering a collaborative, supportive and engaging environment for the team
  • Work closely with the Approved Provider / Management Committee
  • Accept the role of Nominated Supervisor

About You

Skills and Experience

  • Qualification in Early Childhood Education
  • Previous Leadership experience as a Director
  • Demonstrated experience of financial management skills and managing budgets
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing early learning programs using EYLF
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families and staff
  • Thorough understanding of relevant laws, childcare regulations, quality standards and best practices
  • Current First Aid certificate, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications. Working with Children Check, Safe Environments and Food safety supervisor certificate are required.
