Position OverviewAs the Aged Care Quality and Compliance Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in managing quality and risk frameworks across our aged care programs including Home Care Packages (HCP) and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
You'll be responsible for ensuring all services align with the Aged Care Act, 2025 Aged Care Reform requirements and the Aged Care Quality Standards while embedding a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across teams.
You will also manage the implementation of the Aged Care Reform Management Plan and partner with senior leaders to strengthen governance, ensure compliance excellence and enhance service quality outcomes across Tender Loving Care Aged Care operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality and Compliance Management
- Manages and monitor organisational compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act 1997 and 2025 Aged Care Reform requirements.
- Develop, review and implement quality and risk management frameworks across HCP and CHSP programs.
- Oversee the Aged Care Reform Management Plan ensuring timely implementation and alignment with Tender Loving Care Aged Care's strategic priorities.
- Coordinate internal audits, quality reviews and continuous improvement activities to maintain accreditation and service excellence.
- Prepare for external audits and reviews by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
Risk and Incident Management
- Manage and oversee incident reporting, investigation and follow-up processes.
- Identify risks, assess mitigation strategies and ensure effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Maintain compliance registers and support proactive risk management across all aged care programs.
Governance and Leadership Support
- Partner with senior leaders to enhance quality governance and ensure organisational compliance.
- Provide expert advice on quality, risk and compliance to management and operational teams.
- Support policy and procedure development to meet evolving legislative and regulatory requirements.
Training and Continuous Improvement
- Deliver training and guidance to staff on compliance, risk management, safeguarding and quality standards.
- Promote a culture of safety, transparency and learning throughout the organisation.
- Monitor feedback and audit findings to drive service improvement and strengthen care outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records, compliance documentation and audit reports.
- Analyse quality and risk data to identify trends and recommend improvement strategies.
- Provide regular compliance and quality performance reports to the National Quality and Safeguard Manager.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality, Risk and Compliance within the Aged Care or Health Care sector.
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act 1997 and Aged Care Reform 2025.
- Experience managing compliance frameworks across Home Care Packages (HCP) and/or CHSP programs.
- Proven experience in risk management, incident investigation and continuous improvement processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop reports and present findings.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders including regulators and care teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong commitment to resident-centred care, safety and service excellence.
- Certificate IV in Compliance and Risk Management, Quality Auditing or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Aged Care, Health Administration or Leadership and Management.
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigations, Regulatory Compliance or Risk Management).
- Experience in Not-for-Profit or multi-site aged care environments.
