The Opportunity

We're seeking a capable and compassionate Case Worker to join our regional support team in a locum capacity. This role offers meaningful engagement with clients impacted by DFV, providing direct support, safety planning, and case coordination within a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework.

The position is structured for four working days per week on a hybrid basis (on-site), offering flexibility and autonomy. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values sustainability and peer support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver immediate crisis intervention for individuals experiencing DFV
  • Conduct risk and safety assessments tailored to client needs
  • Implement case management plans that include referrals, advocacy, and coordination of supports
  • Engage in therapeutic and strengths-based practices
  • Maintain accurate, confidential client records using a digital case management system
  • Collaborate with community networks and referral partners
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, however if you have suitable experience we encourage you to still apply
  • Demonstrated experience in family violence, child protection, or related social services
  • Strong knowledge of DFV dynamics, legal processes (e.g., safety planning, protective orders), and risk frameworks
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
  • Self-directed, organised, and able to navigate complex client needs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and client systems
  • Holds a valid Driver's Licence and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Highly Regarded
  • Experience in therapeutic or trauma-informed case work
  • Applicants with lived experience are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Familiarity with structured risk assessment tools (e.g., DVSAT or similar)
