Surf Instructor

Instructors needed for our 2025/26 Summer Surfing Season

Illawarra Surf Academy is a locally owned and operated surf school which operates at Thirroul, Corrimal & Warilla Beaches.

- Are you self-motivated, outgoing and enjoy sharing your knowledge?

Then you'd fit in with our small, but dynamic team of surf coaches that love spending time on the beach.

You will join our team running group & private surf lessons for kids and adults of all ages and abilities.

At times you will be required to work unsupervised and uphold the strong work ethic that rest of the team prides themselves on.

All successful applicants must be willing to obtain the following qualifications:

- Surfing Australia Foundation (Level 1) Surf Coach Award

- Ocean Safety Award (OSSCA or Bronze Medallion)

- First Aid Certificate

- Working with Children's Check

To be considered applicants must:

- Be able to work effectively both as a team and individually

- Be available at least 3 days per week and weekends

- Have a strong understanding of the ocean environment and risks involved

- Be energetic, enthusiastic and posses a willingness to share and educate our clients

• Surfing Experience is essential

Hourly rate is between $25.00 and $35.00 depending on current skills, experience and qualifications.
