Depth Logistics is a specialized Government and Defence contractor. We have depots in Brisbane, Townsville and Darwin with our head office in Coolangatta.

We are seeking an experienced HC/MC truck driver to join our growing team at our Townsville cargo terminal.

If you are a Townsville based transport professional, we are offering a permanent position with industry leading rates, for an immediate start driving brand new or near new equipment.

While we are looking for someone who is primarily a local container driver to the Townsville and surrounding areas, we also need someone willing and able to do machinery, general freight, with the occasional trips away from time to time. If you love variety, operating different equipment and operational requirements  then this role is for you.

About you:

  • You must have an MC unconditional licence (we are willing to help the right candidate upgrade to a MC from a HC) experience with Sideloaders, containers, drop decks, extendables and Flat tops highly regarded
  • A dangerous goods drivers licence is desirable(or willing to obtain)
  • MSIC for wharf operations and access
  • You must be able to achieve an Australian Dept of Defence security clearance if required
  • A strong focus on safety, security & confidentiality is required
  • Clear understanding of all load restraint applications
  • You must have good customer relationship skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in remote areas from time to time
  • Basic Fatigue Management highly regarded

The successful candidate must present a licence check.

Candidates with defence and/or defence industry backgrounds would be highly regarded.
