Blue Mountains Grammar School (BMGS) is a co-educational Christian School in the Anglican tradition for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. BMGS is seeking a motivated Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator to lead the OSHC program at our Wentworth Falls Junior School campus, commencing January 2026. This permanent part-time position is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. As OSHC Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the service, including planning and delivering a high-quality educational program, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Employment Overview

  • Permanent part-time position – 16 hours per week
  • Term time only + 2 weeks of vacation care per year
  • Based in Wentworth Falls
  • Preferred start: January 2026
  • Salary in accordance with the NSW Independent Schools CMEA

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an engaging OSHC program that reflects the School's values and educational standards;
  • Plan and deliver a stimulating daily program that provides positive learning experiences for all children;
  • Provide individual attention and support to children, fostering their social and emotional development;
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and clean indoor and outdoor environment for children;
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure smooth operation of the service in line with policies and procedures;
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and plan for ongoing development opportunities;
  • Liaise with parents and carers to communicate children's progress and activities;
  • Perform administrative tasks, including managing attendance, OSHC fees, and resources, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

About You

  • Previous experience in an educational or childcare setting, ideally within an OSHC or similar program;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and families;
  • Current first aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis certificates;
  • A current NSW Working With Children Check;
  • Full Australian work rights.
