Educator - Outside School Hours Care (Oshc) - New

We are excited to be looking for casual educators to join our amazing team at School Plus New Farm

Here at School Plus, we pride ourselves on providing high quality care to primary school aged children across South East Queensland and are looking to hire dedicated, passionate and well-rounded Educators for this new service who share a true passion for the OSHC industry.

The primary role of the **Educators** will be to support and collaboratively work with the Leadership Team. We are looking for people who are committed to creating fun and interactive play-based programs, including sport, craft, science, cooking, music and much more, whilst fostering relationships with children and families. Our programs and menus have a focus around empowering children with choice and learning resilience and life skills.

The hours of work are varied and can be flexible however the role will include split shifts during school term time with longer shifts during School Vacation Care times. The operating hours of the New Farm Service are:

- 6.30am to 9.00am for before school care
- 2.00pm to 6.00pm for after school care
- 6.30am to 6.00pm during vacation care

**Requirements for the Educator role**:

- Hold or be actively studying a relevant childcare qualification such as a Diploma or Certificate III in Children’s Services or completing an Education, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Disability Services, or Social Work Degree and are looking for hands on experience in working with children, including some students with additional needs.
- The more availability the better, but we ask that you be available to work a minimum of 3-5 shifts a week.
- Well-developed emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to ensure you are building strong relationships with the children, parents and team members of the service.
- A current Queensland Blue Card (working with children check) or ability to obtain is essential to start in the role.
- Previous experience working in the Childcare or OSHC industry with a good understanding of the National Quality Framework is preferred, but not essential.
