Wisdom Denture and Dental Clinic is seeking an experienced and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team in Penrith, NSW. As a full-time Dental Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our busy dental practice by providing excellent customer service and administrative support to both our patients and clinical team.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and welcoming patients, both in person and over the phone, and providing a friendly and professional first point of contact
  • Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, sending patient appointment reminders and recalls ,ensuring efficient utilisation of the dentists' time
  • Handling patient inquiries and booking requests, and providing information about our services and policies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Processing patient payments, HICAPS claims, handling cash and card transactions, and issuing receipts
  • Processing Medicare and DVA claims
  • Entering invoices in Xero
  • Assisting the clinical team with various administrative tasks as required

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, ideally within a dental or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
  • Proficiency in using all Windows Microsoft computer software, word processing, and spreadsheet applications
  • Preferred experience in using Core Practice
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate patient records and administrative processes
  • A friendly, patient-centric approach and a genuine interest in the dental industry
