Our long-standing Centre Director is retiring, opening up a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Exceeding service at Star of the Sea Cleveland

We're a beautiful five-room early learning centre supported by a team of dedicated, professional educators.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the centre, including staffing, administration, and financial management
  • Providing strong, supportive leadership to guide and inspire the team
  • Overseeing the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive educational program
  • Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children
  • Collaborating with families and the community to support each child's learning and wellbeing
  • Promoting the service in alignment with Catholic Early EdCare values and philosophy
  • Demonstrating flexibility in balancing contact time with out-of-ratio leadership and administrative duties

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
  • A strong understanding of Child Care legislation including the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and Early Years Learning Framework & the QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
  • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
  • Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities, including team development skills.
  • Willingness to obtain Child Protection Training as required
