Childcare Educators

Bayside Park Early Education Centre is a family-operated Childcare Centre based in the leafy Brisbane Bayside suburb of Cleveland. Due to high demand for placements at our Centre, we now require additional Educators to join our longstanding Team in providing care for our children, aged from Birth to 5 years.

Our Centre is a fun, professional environment with a supportive Management Team who are mindful of the importance of a good work/life balance.

**All positions (apart from the ECT role, which is negotiable) are casual for the first 12 months, with the option to move to permanent part-time if desired, after 12 consecutive months of service. Pay rate depends on qualifications, experience and job role.**

We are inviting qualified Educators to join our Team, for the following positions:

- 1 x REGISTERED Early Childhood Teacher (Hours negotiable)
- 2 x EDUCATORS (Monday to Friday, up to 37.5 hours per week to assist in Activity Rooms)
- 2 x AFTERNOON EDUCATORS (Monday to Friday, starting at 1pm or 2pm until close at 6pm, according to the needs of the Centre)
- 2 x RELIEF EDUCATORS (As required to cover staff absences)

At Bayside Park, we are a TeamPlay and learning opportunities with our children involve all Educators, cleaning tasks are shared between all Educators, documentation and daily records are shared between all Educators. (Only Lead Educators do off-the-floor Programming, which is covered by another Educator from our Team)

APPLICANTS

As a minimum, the successful applicants will:

- hold a childcare qualification relevant to the role e.g Teaching Degree, Childcare Diploma or Certificate 3 in Children's Services OR be willing to study through a Traineeship
- be motivated, enthusiastic and friendly, and willing to build positive relationships with our children, their families and our Team.
- hold (or able to be approved for) a Blue Card to work with children
- have own transport (not rely on public transport, as late arrival may leave the Centre non-compliant with staff to child ratios)
- have a sound understanding (or ability to develop a sound understanding, with the support of Management and our Team) of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
- hold a current First Aid Certificate including CPR/Asthma & Anaphylaxis (or ability to train/refresh, as required)
- be able to follow directions, and work under the guidance of Centre Management
- be able to work as part of a professional, dedicated and caring Team
- be willing to take responsibility for maintaining their own professional development, whilst participating in professional development offered by the Centre

We are ready and able to provide professional mentoring and guidance through our Management Team (Educational Leader, Centre Manager and Director) and to assist those relatively new to the industry to develop their skills to become excellent Early Childhood Educators.

**The Early Childhood Teacher is required to deliver the Qld Kindergarten Curriculum to our Pre Prep children, in the year before commencing their formal education at school.
