About Us

The Eye Collective is a long-established behavioural optometry clinic with a strong reputation in paediatrics. For decades, we've supported children and families through vision therapy, myopia control, and holistic eyecare.

With the growing demand for support in visual processing and functional vision, we're seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join us as an Independent Contractor.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to operate your own OT service within our clinic. You'll work from a dedicated therapy space (approx. 4m x 3m) with support from our reception team for bookings and payments, while retaining full independence in your practice.

We're especially keen to work with someone who shares our interest in all aspects of vision and visual processing - from bottom-up approaches (sensory input, eye movements, visual efficiency) through to top-down approaches (visual perception, executive functioning, learning).

You may already have your own caseload, but joining us means:

  • Access to a large existing paediatric patient base, including NDIS participants
  • Ongoing opportunities for cross-referral and collaboration with our optometrists
  • Support for further education and training - whether from the OT perspective, or through structured vision therapy pathways
  • Flexibility to bring or request equipment (we're happy to supply and can accommodate most needs in room)

Who We're Looking For

  • AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist with paediatric experience
  • NDIS registered (essential)
  • Passionate about visual processing and functional vision
  • Open-minded, collaborative, and committed to evidence-based practice
  • Comfortable working as an Independent Contractor, managing your own caseload and schedule

  • Opportunities to run joint workshops for schools, teachers, and parents

Key Details

  • Independent Contractor arrangement – percentage fee split, no overheads
  • Approx. 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday) with the ability to flex up or down based on patient demand
  • Dedicated therapy room within The Eye Collective's paediatric-focused optometry practice
