Business Overview

Our industry partner, Cornerstone Enterprises Pty Ltd, operates a boutique café offering a relaxed and flexible venue available for private hire or group events, alongside an adjoining function room and a fully equipped auditorium with professional audiovisual facilities. The café trades from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on weekends, providing a welcoming space for casual dining, private functions, and corporate events. The business is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join its team on a full-time basis to support its growing catering and event operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of dishes in line with the venue's menu.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Support menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and fresh local ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimising wastage.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth operations during service.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Ability to prepare a variety of dishes with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
