Connect APAC have been exclusively engaged by a leading, Sydney based FMCG Organisation to source a National Account Manager, tasked with managing a range of key grocery, retail accounts. This organisation have market leading brands across a variety of categories, an exceptional leadership team and strong growth ambitions. The role is tasked with managing a variety of key accounts, predominantly in Grocery, however with opportunities to diversify into further channels as the role develops. The vacancy would be ideal for an experienced National Account Manager or customer facing Category Manager who could be keen to move into Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow revenue and margin.
- Plan and execute: Lead promotional plans in line with category strategy guidelines.
- Co-create JBPs: Build joint business plans and growth initiatives with key accounts; ensure consistent execution of trading terms and discounts.
- Own overall sales, profit, promotional and investment budgets across the portfolio.
- Lead customer negotiations across ranging, pricing, promotions, job-lots and exclusives.
- Manage category reviews, range reviews, and line performance across key accounts.
- Provide accurate and timely forecasts aligned to scan data and customer demand planning.
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Logistics, Compliance, Quality, Finance, and Marketing to deliver products to market.
- Ensure all products meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, cost targets, margin expectations, and supply chain feasibility.
Key Requirements:
- FMCG/Consumer Goods experience essential
- 3-5 years as a National Account Manager (Preferably across Grocery, Independent Grocery, Discounters or P&C).
- Strong analytical background (Category experience desirable).
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise effectively.
- Collaborative approach and willing to work well with different departments such as; Marketing, Category, Supply Chain and Finance.
- Manage internal timelines, dependencies, and risks to ensure on-time and in-full delivery
- Act as the central point of accountability between customers and internal stakeholders
