About the role:

As we expand, we're seeking a dynamic Quality and Compliance Manager to lead the related responsibilities and enable our leaders and their teams to consistently meet and exceed quality benchmarks, regulatory compliance and risk standards within the disability support sector, through eQuality Support's Quality & Compliance and Risk Frameworks and translating knowledge into action across the business.

This role is responsible for ensuring our standards and obligations are clear, by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, implementing compliance strategies, managing quality assurance processes and facilitating continuous improvement to uphold our high service standards.

This is an ideal position for a Quality and Compliance Manager wanting to grow with the role and the organisation, or for a Quality and Compliance Officer ready to step into their first manager role. Most important is your professional curiosity, understanding of objectivity, passion for quality and demonstrated ability to apply your knowledge, influence and lead change.

What will I be doing?

At a high level you will:

  • Continue to develop and implement a quality, compliance and risk frameworks (systems and related governance) that aligns with NDIS key indicators and standards, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance across all services.
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery against NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements, proactively identifying areas for improvement and ensuring timely resolution of compliance issues.
  • Enable eQuality Support leaders to account for quality, compliance and risk within their remits.
  • Stay up to date on relevant legislation, regulations, and standards affecting disability support services, including NDIS/NDIA compliance, and when required supporting the people team regarding OHS and IR reforms, provide advice regarding and adapt compliance strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare for, advise, support and at times lead NDIS audits and reviews (internal/external), ensuring all documentation and processes are up-to-date, accurate and reflective of current NDIS requirements and best practices.
  • Coordinate regular internal audits and reviews to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement (at individual and system levels).
  • Develop and manage the Policy & Procedure system ensuring leadership and contribution from across the business.
  • Develop, implement, review and provide advice regarding policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and manage the Risk Management system supporting eQuality Support leaders to manage their operational and strategic risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and compliance, leveraging insights from audits, feedback and industry best practices.

About you

You are an experienced quality and compliance professional with 3+ years of experience within the disability or health sector. You excel in managing your own program or work, collaborating with executives, supporting and enabling leaders, and you are comfortable pivoting priorities to meet organisational needs. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, objectivity and commercial mindset enables you to confidently advise leaders, driving positive outcomes for both the organisation and its employees.

Technical skills

Essential

  • Understanding of NDIS/NDIA requirements, quality & compliance and risk frameworks and other key regulatory areas such as OHS and IR.
  • Proven experience in a compliance, quality assurance, risk or related role within the disability support sector or a similar regulated industry such as health and aged care.
  • Proven experience in leading evidence-based and objective reviews, analysis and solution design.
  • Experience in compliance and risk management relating to service delivery.
  • Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft. applications and other online platforms.
  • Current Victorian driver's license and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be prepared to obtain one).

Desirable

  • Experience in the following is beneficial: NDIS standards and compliance: document archiving/retrieval system; policy and procedure system; root case analysis.
  • Exposure to clinical risk management would be an advantage.
