This is a newly developed role, offering flexibility and the chance to make a real impact. Working 20–25 hours per week, you'll have the opportunity to negotiate your preferred days and start/finish times within our payroll and processing cycle. The position is based at our Spring Hill office, including subsidised onsite parking, and consideration of hybrid working arrangements after an initial period of onboarding. This position is offered as a 12-month contract in the first instance.

As our
HR and Payroll Officer

, you'll work closely with the HR Operations Manager and Finance Manager to deliver end-to-end payroll processing on a fortnightly basis. You'll ensure payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant with our Enterprise Agreement (EA), Modern Awards, and applicable legislations across different states.

You'll also play an important role in supporting our HR team, assisting with the end-to-end employee lifecycle including onboarding, recruitment, and compliance checks together with projects when workload permits.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong payroll skills (especially with Employment Hero) and solid HR experience.

Our ideal person

  • Relevant qualifications in human resources and/or payroll or related field and/or equivalent skills and experience
  • 2+ years' experience as a Payroll Officer in a similar sized organisation
  • Hands-on experience with Employment Hero or a similar payroll system
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Sound understanding of EAs, Modern Awards, and superannuation requirements, with the ability to partner effectively with HR
  • Strong computer skills, particularly across the MS Office Suite

The successful applicant will require a working with children clearance, NDIS clearance, and national police check, -  AEIOU will support you to obtain within your application progress.
