Hycraft Automotive is growing Thanks to a strong workload and trusted partnerships with major clients, we're looking for a passionate Automotive Technician or 2nd/3rd Year Apprentice to join our skilled team in Clontarf, QLD.

Hycraft Automotive is a family-owned and operated workshop proudly based on the Redcliffe Peninsula. As a Repco Authorised Service Centre, we're committed to delivering high-quality automotive repairs and outstanding customer service.

We work across a broad range of vehicle makes and models, and our technicians undergo continuous training to keep up with the latest in vehicle technology and diagnostics.

The Role

This is a hands-on position focused on:

• Mechanical diagnostics and repair
• General mechanical servicing work including, suspension, brakes, clutch's, diffs, Timing belts/chains, Logbook servicing, steering and Diesel engines.

You'll be using modern diagnostic tools, contributing to preventative maintenance, and playing a key role in our high-performing, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems
• Service and repair all types of vehicle systems
• Perform diagnostic scans and fault-finding procedures
• Large mechanical repairs (clutch's, diesel repairs and major repairs)
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
• Follow all workshop OH&S policies and procedures

• Be confident with diagnostics and mechanical systems
• Have strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Take pride in their workmanship
• Work well independently and in a team
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace
• Be comfortable using basic service software

Requirements

• Certificate III in Automotive (or equivalent experience)
• Experience servicing and repairing vehicle systems
• Sound mechanical knowledge of modern vehicle systems
• QLD Manual Driver's Licence
• 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentices encouraged to apply
