About the Role

We are seeking a Research Assistant to join a multidisciplinary team focused on investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Working under the general direction of the Chief Investigator and other senior researchers, you will play a key role in supporting the research efforts of the CLL group.

This laboratory-based position involves in vivo studies using established mouse models of CLL, including responsibilities such as animal handling, treatment administration, monitoring disease progression, and tissue collection, all in accordance with approved animal ethics protocols. The role also includes performing cell culture, molecular biology, and flow cytometry techniques, as well as contributing to data collection, analysis, and reporting.

As part of a collaborative and dynamic research environment, you will contribute to advancing knowledge of CLL pathogenesis and progression and support the development of innovative therapeutic approaches.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • A degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g. medical sciences), or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team
  • Capability to contribute to the planning and coordination of research experiments
  • A genuine interest in haematology or cancer research
  • Willingness to support and guide junior staff or students when required
