Alert Smoke Alarm Compliance is a locally owned business providing professional smoke alarm installation, servicing, and compliance solutions across the Fraser Coast, Bundaberg, Gympie, and surrounding areas. We currently service and maintain thousands of properties, working closely with property managers, landlords, and builders to ensure safety and legal compliance.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated Smoke Alarm Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, servicing, and testing of smoke alarms to meet Queensland compliance standards. You will be on the road daily, working independently and as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and test smoke alarms in residential properties
- Carry out compliance inspections and issue compliance reports
- Diagnose and replace faulty or non-compliant alarms
- Maintain accurate job records via our job management system
- Provide friendly and professional service to property managers, landlords, tenants, and builders
- Follow workplace health & safety procedures at all times
About You
- Previous trade, handyman, or field service experience desirable (training provided)
- Current driver's licence (manual preferred)
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work unsupervised
- Present professionally, be well-spoken, and self-driven to work in a fast-paced environment
- Be familiar with using modern technology such as tablets & applications
