Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Manpower Full time $70,000 - $120,000 per year

An established and reputable marine construction company, with over two decades of experience delivering high-quality waterfront infrastructure projects, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Estimator to join their team. This organization specializes in a broad range of marine works including jetties, pontoons, dredging, seawalls, piering, piling, and more. With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they offer a stable and collaborative work environment where your contributions will directly impact project success.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and submission of tenders across a variety of marine construction projects.
  • Manage the tender process including strategy development and risk assessment.
  • Review tender requests, design documentation, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare detailed take-offs, project programs, and cost plans.
  • Engage with stakeholders including clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to gather information and calculate costs.
  • Participate in tender reviews with senior leadership.
  • Draft comprehensive tender proposals, clearly outlining qualifications and exclusions.
  • Support pre-contract negotiations and liaise closely with Project Managers.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying new tender opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or construction (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively within a small, close-knit team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Buildsoft Cubit and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable.
