About us

HQ Group's (Arbory Bar & Eatery, HER, Straight Up Cocktails) annual pop-up restaurant and bar, AFLOAT, is back to grace Melbourne's CBD from September through to June.

Nestled on the North side of 'Birrarung', AFLOAT transforms each year with a new fit-out and theme, drawing inspiration from our favourite international holiday destinations.

Season 10's re-launch brings a familiar face back to Melbourne's hallmark summer social scene; with the venue's interior, design, food & beverage offering, music & entertainment program and a reminder that the good times are right around the corner.

We are currently seeking an experienced Pizza Chef to join our team at AFLOAT. Working in a dedicated pizza kitchen, you will have the opportunity to deliver the best hand stretched Neapolitan style pizzas in Melbourne.

The role

  • You will work as part of a team and assist with ordering, prep and stock
  • You will work in a high-volume environment but not compromise on quality and preparation of ingredients
  • You will be supported by Management

What we are looking for

  • Previous hands-on experience making authentic hand stretched pizzas
  • Experience working in a high volume and fast paced kitchen
  • A passion for all things PIZZA
  • A calm, respectful and professional pizza chef
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
