About Us:

We are a small mental health practice based in Shepparton. We have 2 full time clinicians and an administration staff and are looking to expand our team. We also have a smaller office in Kyabram and provide outreach work also.

We value a relaxed and collaborative work environment where you can feel supported, appreciated and grow.

We provide mental health services to private clients as well as to clients who are supported through various funding programs and agencies . This allows us to work with a diverse range of clients - and despite being in the private sector - we are always seeking to give clients choice and control over the treating clinician by leaning into these different opportunities to diversify our offerings. The result is a practice that provides mental health services to a diversity of young and older people alike, from a range of backgrounds, within the GV Community. We feel grateful to work with so many different clients across different ages and stages within our local region.

About The Role:

The Mental Health Clinician will provide therapy and counselling to clients aged 8 through to adult and may sometimes facilitate group work and provide outreach support. If you have a particular age group you prefer to work with we are open to accommodating that. We are interested in hearing from people with a range of therapeutic approaches and styles. Knowledge of Focussed Psychological Strategies is preferred. If you have any specific assessment skills (eg. FCA) that would be a bonus. We are keen to hear from early career professionals as well as those who are more experienced. Most important is sharing our ethos and values around providing a client-centred, approachable, kind and empathetic delivery of service provision.

This role would suit a diverse range of allied health backgrounds:

-Psychologist

-Occupational Therapist

-Social Worker

-Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

-Counsellor

-Mental Health Nurse

-Or other background if you feel it aligns - reach out to discuss

What You Need:

Tertiary qualifications are essential.

Eligibility for Medicare registration is a big plus but not essential.

WWCC required

Drivers Licence preferred

The Opportunity:

We have opportunity for part time positions

Hours can be flexible and negotiated

Opportunity for full time position in future if this was desired.

Renumeration will be dependant on experience.

Regular supervision and professional development opportunities will be provided.

There is also opportunity to focus on personal areas of interest
