The Reily Foundation Incorporated was founded in 2019 and has played a crucial role in South Australia to assist parents to understand and navigate the Child Protection System and safeguard their children. We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation offering free education and advocacy support to parents.
What you will do:
- Work in partnership with parents to build trust, foster agency, and co-create pathways forward.
- Use a solution-focused approach to help families identify strengths, set goals, and take practical steps toward safety and wellbeing.
- Tailor supports, resources, and communication styles to meet each family's unique needs.
- Bring warmth, clarity, and creativity to every interaction, ensuring parents feel seen, heard, and supported.
- Engage respectfully via phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
- Attend meetings, take minutes, and maintain accurate records in our client management system.
- Support families to engage with DCP, escalating matters to the Senior Social Worker as required.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
What you will bring:
- A degree in Human Services or a related field (plus registration with a relevant professional body, where applicable).
- Experience of working with children and families.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- A trauma-informed, culturally competent approach to practice.
- Knowledge of child protection laws, procedures, and child development.
- Experience building therapeutic relationships with vulnerable or disadvantaged families.
- Ability to manage competing priorities with calm and clarity.
Essential Requirements:
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Child Safe Environments Training (or willingness to obtain)
