Established in 1948, our client is a community based, charitable education and care service offering quality education and care for 37 children aged 2 - 5 years. Located within Cumberland City Council LGA, this well-established service, prides themselves on being unique and values having strong connections within the community. We are seeking an experienced Diploma Qualified Educator to cover a minimum 12 month contract position (with a view to extend).

The succesful applicant will have:

  • The ability to build and maintain strong, respectful, relationships with children, families, colleagues and the local community.
  • a passion for continuous improvement and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • a sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, Quality Improvement Plans (QIP), Child Safe Standards, Early Years Learning Framwork (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Extensive experience implementing an inclusive and high quality curriculum, documentation and following the planning cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

  • An ACECQA approved Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID012) and CPR (HLTAID009) in an Early Childhood Setting (or willingness to obtain)
  • Child Protection Awareness Training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Currrent NSW Working with Children Check
