We are seeking a
Design Manager
to join our internal Design Team at Hungry Jack's. This entry-level role is a fantastic opportunity to start or build on your career in design and gain experience across the full lifecycle of new restaurant projects.

You will support the team in managing the design process for new Hungry Jack's restaurants by working with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to concepts, assisting with approvals, and helping to ensure designs meet brand standards. You'll have the opportunity to learn how design directly impacts business success, while developing your skills in a fast-paced FMCG/QSR environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Design Manager you will:

  • Assist with preparing design briefs for external architects and drafting firms.
  • Support the review of consultant documentation to ensure quality and alignment with brand standards.
  • Work closely with the Design Managers and State Real Estate Managers to contribute to successful site designs.
  • Assist with documentation for Development Applications, tenders, and construction stages under guidance from senior team members.
  • Support Operations and Construction teams by responding to design-related requests.
  • Contribute to research into market décor trends and assist in implementing new ideas into the Hungry Jack's system.

About you:

  • Recently completed tertiary qualifications in Architecture, or a related design discipline.
  • Exposure to Retail or Hospitality Design (through university projects, internships, or work experience) is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work to deadlines.
  • Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset.
  • Eager to learn and develop commercial awareness in a real-world setting.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for design and customer experience.
