Yamaha Motor Australia is seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Platforms Manager to lead our technology platforms team. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our IT platforms, ensuring their stability, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.

As the IT Platforms Manager, you will oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing management of core technology platforms, while fostering a high-performing team culture and driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and communicate the long-term vision and roadmap for Yamaha's IT platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure platform solutions meet business needs.
  • Project Delivery: Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of platform-related projects, ensuring timely execution and quality outcomes.
  • Governance & Compliance: Implement and maintain IT controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of platform architecture, processes, and configurations.
  • Team Management: Consisting of Project Managers, Business Analysts & AX/D365 Support Analysts
  • Operational Support: Ensure Incidents, Requests & BAU development are sufficiently managed. Coordination of software development & cloud platform releases is required.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and oversee UAT planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure successful system rollouts.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in managing enterprise IT platforms, with a strong understanding of platform architecture and lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is essential.
  • Exposure to Salesforce and web-based platforms such as Adobe AEM & Adobe Commerce is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organisation.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
