Company Description

STEM Birds' mission is to create a fun and engaging platform where children learn programming and robotics. Offering a variety of Computer Coding and Robotics courses for primary/secondary school children, STEM Birds helps students understand STEM concepts from an early age. The programs, including term classes, holiday programs, workshops, and school incursions, aim to develop logical thinking, enhance motor skills, improve math skills, and teach computer programming and robotics.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Coding and Robotics Tutor, located on-site in Melbourne, VIC. The tutor will be responsible for teaching coding and robotics to primary/secondary school students, developing lesson plans, conducting workshops, and overseeing holiday programs. The role involves engaging with students to help them grasp STEM concepts, providing feedback, and fostering a fun and educational environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Teaching, particularly in STEM Education
  • Proficiency in Programming and Robotics
  • Ability to develop engaging Lesson Plans and conduct Workshops
  • Strong Communication Skills and ability to interact with young students
  • Organizational Skills and ability to manage classes and programs
  • Passion for STEM Education and a Creative approach to teaching
  • Relevant certifications or degrees in Education, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Experience in managing classroom and student behaviour
  • Readiness to travel to different suburbs in Melbourne.
