MAS Building Hydraulics and Fire Services is an emerging QLD based company experiencing significant growth in the industry. We are currently seeking a qualified hydraulic services or civil designer who holds a QBCC or Civil RPEQ license to join our expanding team in a Senior Hydraulic Engineer role.

MAS serves a diverse client base with projects across both residential and commercial sectors, offering professionals a varied and engaging workload. Our project portfolio predominantly spans throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, with potential to further expand into South and Western Australia to service our existing client base. Where possible, the successful candidate should possess the flexibility and credentials required to act as a signing engineer or be eligible to register across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and documentation of hydraulic services for a variety of residential and commercial projects, ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Act as a signing engineer on projects where qualified, and assist in registration processes for additional jurisdictions as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and practical hydraulic solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities to ensure deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
  • Engage in regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates, resolve technical queries, and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of company processes and standards, supporting MAS's commitment to excellence and a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or Diploma in Hydraulic Services Design
  • QBCC / RPEQ Professional registration as an engineer, or eligibility to obtain registration in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Solid understanding of Australian codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for hydraulic services.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and documentation of hydraulic systems for residential and commercial projects.
  • 3-5+ year experience in AutoCAD; experience in REVIT & H2X advantageous.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Stormwater Drainage Systems for Residential & Commercial projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
