Our client
is a growing engineering consultancy delivering innovative and practical Hydraulic, Mechanical, and Electrical building services designs.

Based on Brisbane's southside, our team supports a broad range of project sectors including Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Residential, Retail, and Fitouts. With a reputation for delivering high-quality, timely solutions, we take pride in our collaborative culture and hands-on approach.

As part of our continued growth, we're looking for a motivated Hydraulic Design Engineer (Intermediate to Experienced), or an experienced plumber ready to step off the tools, to join our friendly and professional team. Applicants must be based in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, or surrounding areas.

About The Role
This is a technically focused, hands-on role-ideal for someone passionate about hydraulic building services design and delivering excellent project outcomes.

You'll work closely with architects, builders, contractors, and developers to provide hydraulic design solutions from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design hydraulic systems, including schematics, drawings, specifications, and calculations
  • Conduct site investigations and contribute to technical reporting
  • Support project delivery across multiple sectors
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and quality outcomes
  • Manage project timelines, priorities, and budgets effectively What We're Looking For

We're open to applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including:

  • Qualified Plumbers looking to 'Get off the Tools' and move into design/consulting work
  • Intermediate to Experienced Hydraulic Engineers
  • Hydraulic Drafters/Designers with some consultancy experience

You Will Have...

  • Knowledge of hydraulic building services systems and relevant Australian Standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative attitude and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong time management and high attention to detail
  • Australian citizenship or full working rights in Australia
