The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills to join Southern Cross Care NSW/ACT as Deputy Residential Manager also known as the Deputy Facility Manager position.

This is a Part-time fixed term position, from 28/07/2025 to 31/03/2026 for 3 days a week at our Campbell Residential Aged Care facility in regional ACT | Cambell | Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT)

The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing direct care, support and guidance to residents in accordance with best practice. You will lead the care for the residents in a manner consistent with quality and respect whilst providing mentoring to the care team.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide a caring environment that enhances the security, welfare and wellbeing of residents through planning and directing the provision of a range of high quality personal and clinical care.

  • This position is required to contribute positively to team work to achieve operational outcomes and promote a positive SCC workplace culture in alignment with SCC Values, Mission and Vision.

  • This position is required to liaise and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective and efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • This position is required to comply with and contribute to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.

  • Degree in Nursing/Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care

  • Experience in a relieving leadership/supervisory role

  • Good interpersonal and written English communication skills

  • Ability to play an active and positive role as part of our Care Team, providing quality care and support to frail aged people

  • Sound understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation as it applies to Aged Care Facilities

  • Sound understanding of, and ability to correctly apply, relevant principles of the Fair Work Act
