Firstly do you know 2 out of 3 new mortgage brokers fail in their first year?

The primary reason for this is the failure to understand fully the absolute truth that the business development initiatives will be the underlying factor in success or failure. That is the ability to generate business.

If you don't have strong business development / lead generation skills or existing relationships to rely upon, you will be in trouble

Yes it is as clear cut as that.

Does this mean you shouldn't be starting your mortgage broking career? Not at all….

It means you need to make sure you have the right team around you that can help you develop and fast track the skills required to generate business.

You also need to have access to lead generation programs that enable you to up skill on your software and hard sales skills be it B2B or B2C. While having a genuine opportunity to close as many leads as you can and turn them into revenue.

You'll also need regular sales and business development coaching that help build your skills and motivates you to keep pushing your business forward.

This is all aside from the technical side of mortgage broking which is simply irrelevant if you don't have any business to write

Firstly NLG is a "full service aggregator" as opposed to a "wholesale aggregator".
